A favorite for braid users, the Palomar knot provides close to 100% strength when tied properly and is also one of the easiest knots to remember.
With practice, it can be tied with cold hands, in the dark. The Palomar knot works well with all types of fishing line, but preferred by braid
users due to its nearly impossible to pull out, when tied correctly. Remember to moisten the knot before pulling tight, as doing so lessens the
friction, allowing the knot to tighten easier, and more securely. Ensure that that your lure or hook is through the loop, and all parts before
you cinch the knot.
